⚠️ Important: Export Your Data Before Deletion
Once your account is deleted, you will permanently lose access to your invoices, expense records, financial reports, and other business data.
We strongly advise you to download or export all required data before submitting a deletion request. The App allows you to export your data in PDF, CSV, or Excel format from the Settings menu.
Note: Summarized records retained for 7 years (for IT and GST compliance) are kept solely for legal/tax purposes and are not accessible to you after account deletion.
Recommended steps before deletion:
- Open the Speedaily BOS app and go to Settings → Export Data
- Export all invoices, estimates, and quotations (PDF or Excel)
- Export expense records and receipts (CSV or PDF)
- Download financial reports for the periods you need (PDF or Excel)
- Save the exports securely on your device or cloud storage
- Verify the exports open correctly before proceeding
What Data Will Be Deleted
Upon processing your deletion request, the following data will be permanently removed within 90 days:
- Your user account and profile information (name, email, phone number)
- All invoices, estimates, and quotations created by you
- Expense records and receipt images
- Financial reports and analytics data
- Bank reconciliation data and linked account information
- App preferences and settings
- Usage analytics associated with your account
What Data May Be Retained
Certain data is retained after account deletion for legal and regulatory compliance:
- Account deletion grace period (90 days): Your personal data is held in a secure, restricted state for 90 days after the deletion request before being permanently erased. This grace period allows recovery in case of an erroneous deletion request and ensures complete removal from encrypted backups.
- Financial transaction records (7 years - mandatory by law): Summarized financial transaction records (invoice totals, GST amounts, transaction dates, tax identifiers) must be retained for 7 years as legally required under the Indian Income Tax Act, 1961, the Goods and Services Tax (GST) laws, and the Companies Act, 2013. Personally identifying details (customer names, contact information, receipt images) are removed; only the aggregated, tax-required fields remain. These records are not user-accessible and are kept solely for compliance audits.
- Legal compliance data: Information required to resolve disputes or enforce agreements may be retained as permitted by law.
- Anonymized analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage data may be retained for service improvement purposes.
Legal basis for retention: Compliance with the Indian Income Tax Act, 1961, GST laws, the Companies Act, 2013, and other applicable accounting and tax regulations.
Processing Time
Your deletion request will be acknowledged within 2 business days of submission. Your account will be deactivated immediately, and all personal data will be permanently deleted within 90 days of the request, except for summarized financial transaction records that must be retained for 7 years under Indian tax law (as described above).
You will receive a confirmation email at your registered address once the deletion is complete.
